The business idea is simple: The NOVA Building IT GmbH develops true innovations. With state-of-the-art technology, the right dose of vision, fresh interface designs and an optimised user experience, the construction software NOVA BIM has been created especially for digital natives and all architects, civil engineers and project managers who are digitally young at heart; for those who thrive using an intuitive, hands-on approach in complex programs and expect specialised software systems to be simple, convenient and practical to use.

The company was founded in 2014, with the firm intention to stir up the solid but somewhat static nature of the construction software industry – and since then, the NOVA Building IT GmbH has very successfully been doing just that: With NOVA BIM 3D model-based construction cost management has arrived on the web for the first time as a purely online service (SaaS). NOVA BIM requires only an internet connection and an internet-enabled device; the choice of operating system and browser no longer matters. At last, the benefits of cloud computing, which have long since been adopted in other industries, are finally available to the construction industry. And especially in these times of ever more complex construction projects, location-independent, mobile data acquisition with real-time communications and integrated control options is increasingly important, saving valuable resources by simplifying procedures and maximising productivity.

The NOVA team has assembled a growing network of BIM (Building Information Modeling) experts and the GAEB (Joint Construction Electronics Committee). The team also includes BSI-certified specialists (Federal Office for Information Security), who guarantee the system’s compliance with data protection regulations and security requirements for modern web-based applications. These open structures ensure that the further development of the NOVA BIM platform is driven not only by the enthusiasm, experience and innovative spirit of NOVA’s own technicians and experts, but also through the constant involvement of top specialists in all the sub-disciplines of the application.
